Those of you who happened to see a couple of my Instagram photos yesterday know that fun things are going on in the Merrick Jewels camp! There might be a little "sumpin' sumpin'" coming out in the April edition of a local magazine... maybe something that I have blogged about in the past {hint hint}?? You will have to wait and see. I was so honored by the opportunity but immediately had to pull a code red when informed that one of the photographers needed to come over and take *gulp* head shots and *double gulp* pictures of my workspace/studio. Seriously, CODE RED. Report to battle stations...


Well, there's nothing like a little fire under your ass to help get things done around here and I will say that I am thankful because now my studio is in working condition aka can see the floor and on top of that the photo shoot was a blast! Jill, the photographer, happened to be a #crazycatlady too (sorry Jill) so of course my new fur baby, Rudy, made it in a couple of shots. We loved every minute of it. My husband will be thrilled, snark.

Deciding what to wear 30 min. before the shoot was special but I figured you can't go wrong with power red and of course statement jewels {that's why I'm here right?}. After the shoot, I realized I had fake eyelashes on and nowhere to go.... c'est la vie.
